Paquiao would look feather fisted with the same camera.

Often with older footage, you have to look at opponent receiving the punches to get an idea of the power.

Fitz head looks like a speedbag here.

I think they have to be considering how many he lands in a short period of time, and how they effectively knock Fitz head back and forth.

The thing is, there is a difference of opinion as to how many punches are landed /thrown here.It could possibly 5 but I'm seeing 3 at most, and I have no horse in this race one way or the other.

Another example of so very many of film quality hiding boxing skills.

Looks like he throws two jabs to get in punching range then both hands to the body and head. Excellent.

It's a perfect Classicist scenario. The footage is so poor that they can "choose their own adventure" and create a fictional character with superpowers to fill in the blanks.

This is definitely not my intention.
To me it would feel criminal to uncover significant moments in historic footage that others may not be aware of, and not share it.

It's no Harry Greb career set in 4k, but it'll get the job done.

It seems to me its often a case of people seeing what they want to see ,consciously or unconsciously.
I think Reznik tries to share and inform with his clips, and for that we should be grateful, but I do find myself at odds with a lot of his interpretations of them.

At least its not like the modernists who have good footage yet still make up the science fiction monsters of today.

    You can't argue measurables.

I see a double jab, followed by perhaps some kind of parry or control move with the right hand, and then a right to the head.

    Regardless, very cool clip.

Yeah I considered the first right being a parry/maneuver, but when you look at Fitzsimmons head, he seems to be taking rapid fire punches.

That's not true. Taking numbers at face value in sports is every bit as reductive as simply relying on myth.
