Buddy Baer was almost out on his feet. Joe Louis drops him with an uppercut, and then a right. https://streamable.com/zrgrz
It's alright nearly knocking down the Buddy Baer's of this world, Vitali wouldn't even feel that shot. Louis was way too small for today's era.
He didn't fight a guy 6'7! Wasn't that your argument on the other thread? He did stop Buddy Baer 6'6" 250lbs, who was only kod twice and Abe Simon 6'4" 255lbs only stopped 4 times.Louis was proven against ranked superheavyweights.
He also annihilated Carnera who was 6'5.5" and 260lbs and an ex champ. Just because Joe did it doesn't means he could do it, to some it seems.
The same Buddy Baer that was knocked out by the legendary Gunnar Barling, a fighter who lost 30 fights and had a dismal 32% knockout ratio? What about Abe Simon? A fighter that was knocked out by the ATG Lem Franklin weighing in at 201lb....... Yep he definitely knocks Vitali out with that uppercut.....
Franklin was a big puncher .Baer had 60 fights and was stopped twice. How many times a fighter was stopped has zero correlation to their power ,take a squint at Bob Satterfield . You're looking for an argument , and I dont think you even know what about,,well not with me,I'm going to do something infinitely more useful ,taking my dogs for a walk.
Well Carnera had only been stopped once in 87 fights prior to Louis knocking him out (and the other guy was Max Baer who was an acknowledged big puncher) so you'd have to say he was fairly durable actually. So Louis showed on at least 3 occasions that he could knock out genuine super-heavyweights unless you want to keep shifting the goal posts and say they weren't durable, were 6'6" as opposed to 6'7" when Louis battered them.
Who said it has a correlation to their power, both of these giants of the past were stopped by poor-avergae punchers. Louis stopping those two doesn't prove he hurts Vitali let alone knock him out.
