    Great footage. A real expert at play. I dont know the background to this sequence, maybe the guy deserved it. I dont know, but thats not pulling punches. Joe pulled back and let go. He followed through.

    Louis knew what he was doing here. A pity for the sparring partner if he was there to spar. but a bit of a liberty really if it was not.

    I believe this was a serious training camp for the Schmeling rematch. Arguably, that was the most high stakes boxing match in history. I think Louis wanted to train as best as possible, hence the headgear and powerful punches.

    I don't really like to see sparring partners brutalized.Louis was hard on his, and Dempsey was murder on his.
