And if you did no who Charles was he'd be considered some sort of Demi God, right?

The point is that Marciano was not the wide open target some would lead you to believe. Rocky cleverly would follow through with a head bob after throwing a punch which kept him out of range for many counterpunches.

That's also what I thought when I was a kid. Swinging wildly is not what Rocky is doing here.

Many thought Rocky was a wide open target until they got into the ring with him.

    Agree with this.

This was very late in the fight with Charles, and Ezzard had been completely worn down by Rocky by that point. Charles was running on fumes. Just goes to show just how good Marciano's conditioning was. Absolutely incredible. A machine.

Lots of the footage looks to be from their first fight in June 1954.....the 15 round...

So did Mike Tyson and several others. You keep going on about this, most fighters have slipped on the canvas at some point. Billy Conn versus Joe Louis. Ali against Frazier. Holyfeild against Bowe.

If he threw punches like most boxers he wouldn't have fallen once.

I'm no boxing expert regarding the technicalities an nuances of the fight game, simply just a fan, but I think I tend to come down on the side of agreeing with Dubblechin here.
I know Charles was one of the best technicians ever to lace them up, but what i'm seeing there is a fatigued fighter not able to carry out the things i'm sure he'd been doing a few rounds earlier, the mind was obviously still willing, but physically he just couldn't carry them out, he just looked like a fighter desperately waiting for the final bell.
You have to marvel at Marciano though, the intensity and physicality he's showing there in the 15th round, it could have been round one.
