    The clip shows Dempsey to be a real physical presence in the ring...Dempsey is a great fighter.

    The commentary makes it sound as if this took place before the Carnera fight which would be 1934 which would make Dempsey 39 years old. Damn.

    Even spar with baer dempsey always aggressive.

    IMO baer is dempsey student.
    There is a photo baer,dempsey, & carnera before/after baer VS carnera.

    If I am not mistaken this may have been the sparring session where Schmeling landed a right hand to Dempsey nose breaking it and ending the session.

    Remember when Baer, in the dressing room, seemed hesitant to go into the ring with Joe Louis, that Dempsey told Baer: "If you don't go into the ring, then I will whip you here myself".
