Of course. But do you find the assumptions unreasonable?

You made a point of saying Lastarza was never stopped until he fought Marciano[2]. I asked which punchers he fought ?
    You supplied none.

No need for sarcasm,it isn't my fault you don't have the information to reinforce your argument.

    Arguing from ignorance?

Any boxer who fights at that level, and only gets stopped twice deserves credit.

You hold boxers to an unrealistic standard.

No, I just stated a fact he was never stopped which is true. Marciano first man to stop him a nice feather in his hat if you ask me.

I find all assumptions unreasonable. Including my own.

Lastarza was a well managed heavyweight ,the names that are conspicuously missing from his resume would fill a page ,what had he done to merit a title shot?
No,I question the mythology that fans envelope Marciano in.

He doesn't need or require it.He was a true great who doesn' t warrant being pumped up as a hyperbolic monster that farted thunder and ****ped lightning, a fighter that only needed to land one of his Suzie Q's to end a fight ,it isn't true.
To wrap him in fan boy BS does him a disservice and negates from his very real, and solid achievements.

Trust me, we know that Rocky Marciano was only human.

Maybe that's why we give him credit?

Maybe you just read too much into it

This depends on the opposition, just as a long run of victories does.

I just have an aversion to anyone being mythologised.
You can criticize most any fighter on here without too much adverse reaction, but to even suggest Marciano was less than Thor and Odin rolled into one brings down the wrath of his considerable fan club upon your head.

I think Ali is at least as
    mythologised as Marciano.

    I'd say with more justification.
