This would be one weird instragram post. The guy certainly draws a crowd when he trains. I would also hope one would understand the context, that it's a power work out and not the actual punching technique he uses in fights.

I would know right away that it isn't an instagram filter. That's the problem. Some people watch footage like his, and assume it's as simple as a black and white insta filter, not realizing the other major issues with the cameras that don't capture depth or speed.
The sound doesn't match up nicely.
It ends up looking like a vogue art piece instead of a normal instagram training clip.

Hes hitting the bag a lot nicer than it seems. It's just with the camera used, you don't feel the punches, you don't hear them.

I wish we could purchase one of those old cameras they used for clips like this. It would be an extremely valuable experiment to film boxing with one of them.

It's actually not a bad Norton defense highlight. He does some quality punching slipping from Cobb's aggression. Cobb gets off about 20 punches in the sequence and I would be surprised if more than two partially connected. Cobb is not very accurate and has poor timing but dodging 18 punches from a rangey guy that won't stop coming forward is still impressive.

 

Yet when we see other fighters of the 30's hitting the bag we are impressed?

 

Speaking solely for myself ,I'm very grateful that you do so.I don't necessarily have to agree with your interpretation of all them, but that's another story.
