Postol or Broner will beat Garcia. Garcia's inside game is awful.

    Postol would beat him.
Broner e,i dont think so.danny garcia problem is mover with a great jab.
Broner like to be floyd i dont think he would beat danny garcia Atm he got solid chin though he might take the left hook pretty well.

The drama on this site is teenage female status at best....the fight was extremely close and could have gone either way Lamont hurt himself by deciding to exchange in spots late in the fight if he did the same earlier he may have gotten the nod however he also would have put himself in harms way earlier Danny isn't a mover and is more comfortable as a counter puncher....someone mentioned styles make fights it was a difficult bout to score so naturally those who understand boxing remain so what tossed and neutral regarding the results while those who simply dislike Danny will use this as fuel to critize and hate and others who support Danny will say Lamont ran for several rounds. It was simply a complex clash of two above average fighters containing different intangibles.

I certainly don't hate Danny but I had it 8-4 for Lamont. I just thought he outboxed him with the jab for 2, maybe 3, of the first 4 rounds.

His inside game is fine people who do damage tend to release quick combos and then move out of Danny's wheel house I can see how one would confuse this with having a terrible inside game. This fight did not take place on the inside so it's hard to make that evaluation unless the exchanged in the pocket ala Castillo vs Corrales

I hear ya it's all relative man, I thought Lamont performed well other than a terrible strategy in the begining of the fight. Danny is who he is and most can plainly see what type of fighters can be considered his Achilles heel I'm just surprised at the fact that the execution isn't more clear Herrera did well put he lacked the standout rounds and aggression, guys like algeri would be an issue guys like Provo would be perfect styles all day....

'Herrera was still disappointed about the outcome of his fight in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, which was seen on Showtime. A majority of observers (both media and fans) thought Herrera did enough to win a decision against the unbeaten Garcia.

Instead, Herrera left Puerto Rico perplexed as to how two of the three judges thought Garcia did enough to win. After 48 hours and a long flight back to his home in Riverside, Calif., Herrera reflected on the fight and still believes he should have THE RING, WBA and WBC world titles wrapped around his waist.

“I’ve watched the fight three or four times. Each time I watch it, the beating that I gave Garcia gets worse and worse. He never adjusted to anything that I did. We were boxing him and pressuring him when we needed to.”

“What made me laugh was after the fight when he was being interviewed. He was saying that he was starting to adjust. I was like ‘When did you adjust?’ He barely landed anything. He hardly landed that left hook. I landed more than him.”

Herrera may have a point. Herrera landed 221 total punches to Garcia’s 204 and he also landed more jabs at a three-to-one ratio.

According to CompuBox, Garcia did land 150 power punches to Herrera’s 82, which Herrera questioned as to where Garcia landed those punches when his face hardly had a mark on it.

Herrera pointed to the crowd reaction and what the Showtime commentators said to him after the fight as proof that his work during the fight was more effective than Garcia’s.

“The Puerto Rican crowd supported me and wanted pictures with me,” he said. They were mobbing me saying that the judges robbed me and that they don't got no love at all for Garcia because he's a fake Puerto Rican who only pretends to be real one when it suits his needs. Men, women, children - his own people - were coming up to me telling me I won the fight easy and that they think he's a mama bicho.

''A group of about 200-300 people were all chanting my name and calling Garcia a phony wannabe boricua and a hijo de la gran puta that was always getting gift decisions and punching his opponents in their cajones.''

“The commentators thought I won the fight. The only thing that I want people to know was that I was not tired at all in the fight. The announcers thought that I was tired in the 11th round, but I wasn’t. I was conserving my energy for the 12th round.”

I gave Peterson at least 6 rounds. It was interesting that Peterson actually started to fight in close to mid range and had the best success there because I thought that might have been Garcia territory.

So if Danny, Lucas and Lamont are NOT ELITE....then who is at Jr welterweight? Lol.....you drive a hard bargain kid. These guys are top of the divison....champions....Tell me, how many times have you been world champion or even ranked by any world organization for that matter?

Danny has limitations...all fighters do. That's how Danny beat Lucas. He didn't dominate but he did win clearly. But styles make fights and Danny had a style that allowed him to expose the flaws of Lucas. Lamont had the style that gave Danny all sorts of problems but that doesn't mean these guys are garbage. Everyone is beatable if they are fighting the best and facing different styles.
