GiGi vs Ward: Who is the real A-side?

simple question: who has sold out 15K tickets 2 MONTHS BEFORE their schedueled fight?

I want to say it's who puts more butts in seats but that logic is flawed if a clear "B Side" is more popular. Ward could be P4P #1 and hold all of the titles and never be A side because he's boring.

Determining A/B side by using fanbase is flawed, IMO. You need something "tangible" or to that effect (titles, accolades, etc.)

Edit: With that said, I think Golovkin is the A side. Ward could've been had he remained active.

 

well ones on PPV the other is struggling to break 300k viewers on free tv, I think its fairly clear GGG is the A side, and imo should be getting 75%+ of any money.

 

with Ward's resume, he SHOULD be the A-side, but he flushed all that away when he went to war with his former promoter and wasted nearly 2 years of his prime when he was on the summit

currently, GGG is 'A-side", call it whatever you want, and it's not even debatable

 

Yup. Exactly this. If Ward had stayed busy, it may well have been a different story.

 

A dead promoter who had cancer while Ward sued him. I still don't know why Ward sued him!

ggg fans can scream "maybe in a year or two when ward builds himself back again and ggg has unified this fight can happen...it would mean more" all they want....but they know by then ward will prob be at 175 full time with no real intent on coming back and by then the fights luster will prob have worn off....you think a mw is going to be screaming to jump up a class to fight a lhw champ? nope

bottom line is .....this nonsense about unifying only comes when ward is wanting the fight.....ggg never wanted this fight...ive heard everything "k2 wanted ward a couple of years ago".....yeah ok...so they wanted ward who was active and looking like a top guy when they would have been clear b side.....but now they dont want it when hes been inactive and its a 50-50 fight at best? most likely 60-40 in favor of ggg? ...ive even heard "ward isnt a top p4p fighter"

ggg isnt fighting for the fans...for legacy....hes fighting for money and risk/reward just like everyone else....it must hurt to see the reality in your hero...the man youve built up as some savior

yeah froch and chavez bring more money......and ggg would have been the bside in both of those fights....the b side to a bum whod rather smoke and drink than train.......gggs resume is an embarrassment

 

GGG-Lemieux should do decent figures. GGG will be seen as a PPV'er for sure after that.
Ward is not the A side, although the better fighter.
