So do I, what happened against Cokes, he got stopped there late I think, though I thought that Benvenuti was the first to drop him?!? Cuts?

Benvenuti KO'd him with a massive left hook. Brutal punch, once in a lifetime IMO.

    Dunno about Cokes.

Well of course I've seen that fight a few times.

Is it just me or was Benvenuti essentially one handed (left)? A few sneaky rights, but mainly the jab, left hook, and lots of ugly holding. Quite straight on, with upper body rather than lateral movement? I don't know what I'm missing with him, he just seems to ugly his way through fights, and yet he won the Val Barker trophy! WHAT AM I MISSING he was obviously formidable!!!

Yeh but he had a lovely left hand. His fights tend to be a bit disjointed, I think.

Yeah, he used it well. Locche is another guy who (offensively of course) seemed to rely on a varied left hand.
