This went up before the weekend but I forgot to share it with you chaps. Gilbert talks about John's loss, where it leaves him and why he expects him to bounce back. http://www.yourmma.tv/fighters/inte...t-believes-hathaway-will-be-back-stronger.htm
Hathaway to me shows the problem that I think alot of guys are going to have when they look to train "MMA" from day one. That is a bit of a jack of all trades master of none style fighter. MMA has afterall been a transitional sport most of the time and alot of the training methods seem to be to be based on devolping limated skills in other areas in order for fighters to use there pre existing strenghts. A guy totally new to fighting like Hathaway needs IMHO to move beyond learning those basic skills and focus on one area. If he was for example to spend a good 6 months training just MT/kickboxing I think he'd do his career a much bigger favour than carryin gon training the way he has been.
He should rematch Sanchez, who looked much better at the weekend. I like Hathaway, can't see last week doing him much of a mental/physical disservice.
I still can't believe he got his **** pushed in by Mike Pyle. Really? You dominate Sanchez but can't get past Mike Pyle? Depressing.
