Herrera is a short notice sub for John Karl Sosa.

 

Every legit opponent has stopped Herrera, with the exception of Abner Cotto, Zolani Marali, and Ricardo Cordoboa (who did knock him down)

 

Round 1

Gonzalez is stalking and winging in roundhouse "jabs" (still not turned over enough to call them hooks) on the chest of Herrera. Gonzalez is giving up some height, back arched, shoulders up, hunching down & in and slapping long shots on the body. Herrera is sticking and moving, coming up short with the jab and then falling back into a Philly shell while swiping with hooks that also miss.

Round 2

Gonzalez is bouncing around Herrera throwing machete jabs at chest height. Herrera is waiting, leaned back, coiled to counter. Herrera catches Gonzalez with a looping right and STUNS HIM BADLY! Herrera jumps on him and starts to batter him with both hands as Gonzalez bows forward and shoves into him to stem the onslaught. Gonzalez now takes a turn and cracks Herrera with an OHR. Herrera taps his chin while stepping back and beckons for Gonzalez to bring it. ANOTHER BIG OVERHAND by Gonzalez and Herrera is nearly down, glove dangerously close to brushing canvas. Gonzalez is smashing away on Herrera

10-9 Herrera (strange round to score - uneventful first half-minute, then Herrera dominates for over a minute, then Gonzalez dominates even more but for less time)

Herrera was most hurt and closest to being down in the round but his good moments outnumbered Gonzalez's. :think
