Zurdo beats Abraham about the face and neck until he has tweety birds flying around his head, and he flops over. Zurdo by TKO10.

Zurdo is just too damn big for AA and I get the feeling his punch resistance isn't what it used to be.

Very interesting point about the wear and tear causing a late stoppage of Abraham. I feel like he's ripe for one about now.

I asked this about Callum Smith in a thread on him in the British forum, but it could apply to Zurdo as well:

Abraham was hurt by Murray once or twice, and I don't think the shelling up will help him against Ramirez, Gilberto has a very good looping uppercut that will probably rip right through AA's high guard and catch flush on the chin repeatedly, opening him up for the straight left over and over again, and that will prove to ultimately be too much for AA at this point, Ramirez may not be as good as I thought he was, but he's better than Paul Smith and Martin Murray and in all likelihood hits a lot harder and is far more accurate.

Thing with Abe, you have to go after him early & often. See: the Stieglitz II blueprint.

Good fight. AA still has big fight experience which is crucial in this fight for me. Hopefully Ramirez doesn't get too excited and try to rush AA stupidly because could spell trouble for him.. He has to stick to a gameplan and take AA into the later rounds where AA seems to struggle with stamina issues.

Actually come to mention it, Zurdo Ramírez Sánchez and Mundo Smith are roughly of a level. That would be a great next move after dispatching Abraham. It would be a bit of a stretch as Smith is only barely top-10 in the WBO (literally, rated #10..) but maybe a voluntary defense? :think

I've been steadily impressed by him for a while now. I'm not part of the knee-jerk "He's going to conquer the division" brigade since this past weekend, though, no. I missed it live & still haven't seen the Mohoumadi KO.

Just because he'd be competitive with GRS doesn't mean I think he's that special. Neither of them are really. SMW is honestly fairly weak at the moment (Abraham holding a belt, and being rated #1 in the division on BoxRec is proof of that).

DeGale and Jack are the men to beat, and the rest chasing after them are kind of "blah". Except maybe José Uzcátegui, kind of a raw puncher and short on finesse to be a division-ruling elite, but there is potential there and those fists are made of thunder.
