Valdez is jabbing in, darting out, bouncing in place, ducking, and feinting up from a crouch. Garza throws some combinations and is caught by a right and hurt. Left hook by Garza, missing from outside. Garza dives in with a jab and heavy right hand and Valdez bounces out of reach.

Valdez is falling back into a crouch as Garza lunges in with hooks. Valdez rolls in the pocket and springs up with jabs and crosses, stunning Garza and backing him off. More openings left by Garza as he tries laying a hand on Valdez walking forward, breaking his guard and not reforming it before the quick and nimble Valdez can duck, roll aside, move in, and score with straight counters surprising Garza and putting him in retreat. Garza not transitioning well from offense to defense and Valdez making him every time he opens up. Garza switches to southpaw and flicks out some right jabs lazily. Valdez puts his chin down, leans his upper body over, and snaps Garza's head back with crisp left jabs. Garza orthodox again. Valdez keeps snapping his head back with jabs, backing the bigger man up.
