Despite my disappointment, I will give Zurdo some credit. He did seem improved. How much of that is actually improvement or the benefits of fighting at his actual weight, I can't say  He did definitely look better though.

So Zurdo is now Goulamirian's mando eh? Well I look forward to seeing that in about three years

Smith needs to go down. He landed some solid punches on Zurdo and it didn't rock him. He is also to flat and to slow at Cruiser.

    Well deserved
To boo those score cards sure.
But not Zurdo, he fought an intelligent fight
& boxed circle around smith like I figured he would.

Mexicans like Mexican style over dreamboat style, I suppose.

But also there will be a massive difference taking punches from established cruisers like CBS and Opetaia, than another one coming up in Zurdo, i think Smith staying at cruiser is bad news for him.

I don't know why Smith is carrying on fighting unless he really needs the money, he's going to get badly hurt at cruiserweight.

This is another Hrgovic-Zhang fight for me. The score cards were too wide (though not that bad in that case), but I can't say the wrong man won. Both guys put on a good show and landed great punches, so either one winning or it being a draw would have been fine. Zurdo boxed very well and showed significant improvement, so despite my dislike of the guy I have to give him kudos there. Always love to see boxers showing they can learn from their losses.

I was hopping for Smith KO cause Ramirez is a weight bully. I don't call fighters weight bully but Ramirez is. When you fail to make weight you are a weight bully. He even tried to dragged up Rosado and failed to make the weight or else he would have pummeled Rosado to add to his manufactured 4o+ wins.

I don't see him lasting at Cruiser. Opetaia is the man to beat at cruiser.

Those shots at light heavy drops his opponents. Here , at best, it may stun them. For his health I hope he retires or move down to 175 were his best feature, his punching power, gives him the edge.

He was a huge underdog- too tempting not to throw a lil change on it.

Smith never stood a chance with those scorecards. He could've sparked Zurdo out cold in a round and walked away with a KO loss on his ledger. How they gonna do a union brother dirty like that?

Zurdo boxed well, displayed nice skills and won but he looked huge in there, Smith was a big LHW but he's no CW and he didn't look much bigger than he did at 175, whereas Zurdo looked like a HW.

Smith looked rusty and it took him time to get his engine going but it was a completely different fight as soon as he did.

Feel bad for Smith he's such a nice guy. Coming off a long layoff, a confidence shattering early TKO loss where he was legitimately dropped for the first time in his career IIRC (a whole bunch of time), losing his brother, and having sadistic match makers who throw him in with killers and top contenders with the exception of once or twice in back to back fights.

He got booed in New York City against Beterbiev, if you had to get any additional evidence of the degeneracy of the NY sports fan.
