What did I say that aged badly? Picking him to beat Benavidez? Everyone gets predictions wrong. If he had fought off the back foot and boxed instead of standing in front of a faster-handed opponent (like Thurman did against Pacquiao) and traded inside, it would have been a more competitive fight. That said, I liked how Benavidez looked at cruiserweight (a lot better than expected), and I would still favor him to win on the night.

No he is not. He fled 168 cause it was killing him to make it. 175 ruled by Bivol and Beterbiev. So he fled all the way to a weak and desolate cruiser.

I enjoy his fights but he is average. If you think he is anything above Barrios please tell use how. Barrios is a two weight class belt holder.

edit: I never compared him to Barrios. Read and comprehend. You stated an average guy couldn’t achieve what he did. Yes they do , with a well manage opponent. I gave Barrios as an example

Thurman did great against Pacquiao. Zurdo did horrible against Benavidez.

Zurdo just isnt good enough nor smart enough to compete.

I really enjoy reading haters hating. If you think Benavidez is an average fighter, get your eyes checked before you ever talk about boxing again.

barrios is a “2 weight champ”, like that’s a massive feat these days

broner the clown was a 4 weight champion but we know he was a load in a teenagers sock

not really the gotcha moment you think

Zurdo won a belt and defended it multiple times

Then unified 2 belts, two divisions higher

way better than barrios or broner could do

and Zurdo is only 34, don’t be stunned if he fights on and wins more fights

barrios and Broner can’t hold his jock strap

So when Zurdo did it , it is different. Regardless of the level of competition because well it is Zurdo. Got it !
