Yes, yes, and yes, but none of this was shown in his last two fights. Wtf happened to him? I thought Dorticos power might have scared him, but he looked like ass against Benavidez too. Granted, IMO Benavidez deserves plenty of credit for that performance, but still. I guess age maybe got to him? Man, I was quite high on Zurdo when he moved to 200. I knew he would be going for unification fights, which at first he did, but then got super inactive and ducked the other two champions. What a letdown it has been. Not that I thought he would be anything special at the weight, but I saw him as someone who would breathe life into the division.
I thought the best version of Ramirez was at 175. Just look at how he boxed on the back foot and changed levels against Bivol, a fight where he took rounds off one of the best boxers in the sport. However, I also thought he looked great at cruiserweight because of the lower level of opposition available near the top. But against Benavidez, I think he got the tactics completely wrong. With the Dorticos performance, I think he was cautious of the power in the first few rounds, but he got into the rhythm of the fight as it went on. I don’t think he was ducking as much as people say, but he was definitely inactive. I still think he is underrated "skill wise" but he does have a lower boxing IQ than I thought.
