your way of assessing is the best way ,that head to head stuff is bonk. If you saw film of pep and saddler not against each other it LOOKS like pep should dominate saddler but you now what happened. Floyds resume is weak weak weak, I just posted some of the names on fritzies resume(its about who you beat ) and i doubt floyd has 6 names that equal that!

I will say this ,, Fritzie Zivic would kick anyone's ass in a street fight his weight .. He ranks higher out of the ring than he does in the ring

Delahoya Pac Alvarez Cotto JMM Mosley come pretty close. And now you’re being condescending. Had you read my post you’d see I even said his resume compared to some in the top ten is weaker but certainly not his domination over said opponents something none of the top ten can lay claim to. You also didn’t bother to address how he is the best fighter according to compubox since it’s inception...that means something to hit and not be hit to never be kayoed going against the roster he did. It certainly wasn’t a weak roster it just doesn’t add up to 300 fights in ten years but the quality is there.

you are smoking meth if you think any of those guys would equal a name like say charley burley, also what years were they at their peak , Top 10 does have domination over their Better more in prime opposition, hell floyd didnt even finish a single guy on that list lololol. Also **** compubox I dont care for it and it hasnt been around since the beginning ,I am juding strictly on resume not on some dumbass compubox. Floyds lack of 300 fights is not an excuse Jimmy Mclarnins resume shits all over floyds and he had only 17 more fights than floyd .Floyd cherry picked his fights against weak competition in general(none of those guys show up on all time pfp lists and they werent even at their peak when floyd fought them)

Ill give you the difference between someone in the top 10 all time and what they did to their competition and a dork like floyd mayweather jr

so lets take a guy like Ezzard Charles and get his 6 best wins we will go by fight reports and ignore their opponents peak(this helps mayweather more)

the 6 best names on ezzards resume are

Burley , Archie Moore, Joe louis , Jersey Joe Walcott, Jimmy Bivins, Lloyd Marshall

lets look at some of the dominant performances Charles puts up against these guys

agaisnt burley nearly stops him first fight and the second fight cards were 7 to 2 and 1 even charles

against Moore knocked more out in the 3rd fight and in the first fight the cards were 10-0 9-1 9-1

against Joe louis the cards were 10-5 13-2 and 12-3

against Jersey Joe their 2nd meeting the cards were 80 to 70 84 to 66 and 83 to 67 with jersey joe being knocked down for a 9 count

against Bivins ezzard was able to knock him out in 4 rounds in one of their fights and had a performance of 58 42 58 42 58 42 and 1 knockdown in their last fight

against marshall he was able to ko lloyd marshall twice in 3 fights one time in 2 rounds and another in 6

those are dominant perfomances , fights with wide margins on the cards with knockdowns or fights were the boxer doesnt make it to the final bell.

Now for floyds dominance against the competition you mentioned above

    against de la hoya

116 to 112 113 to 115 (in favor of de la hoya) and 115 to 113 split decision no knockdowns

    against pac

    116 112 116 112 118 110 with zero knockdowns for floyd

    against alvarez

117 to 111 116 to 112 and 114 to 114 majority decision with no knockdowns

    against cotto

    118 to 110 117 to 111 117 to 111 with no knockdowns

    against Jmm

    120 to 107 118 to 109 119 to 108 with a knockdown for floyd in the 2nd round

    and against mosley

    119 to 109 118 to 110 119 to 109 with floyd rocked in the 2nd

looks like the top 5 were more dominant against their in prime competition than floyd was ,so the dominance argument holds no weight either just say you like floyd and leave it at that.

You don’t think Pac and Alvarez are comparable to Burley? Now who’s smoking meth? If you can’t have an intelligent conversation without going off on name calling tangents this won’t work. I don’t really care if you like compubox. It’s the only way to gauge defense, output, accuracy, etc. it means something even if you don’t think it does.
As far as your other tangents go. The Delahoya cards were bs. Floyd didn’t even take a clean shot thag whole fight and I was a big Delahoya fan at the time. As far as the others go he embarrassed them all where the others dropped a lot of fights (I’m sure if Floyd fought Alvarez or Pac five times he probably drops one too but because he didn’t have any drops it’s hard to tell). Like I said domination.
And for the record I usually rank Charles as number 1. The list I did was just top five not necessarily numbered

Just passage of time. At one time he would of been in the conversation for #1. At least by a segment of people. I think he's still top 10 at the least.. I got him top 5

more foolishness , Burley was considered a peer to robinson a guy many consider the goat ,are you saying that canelo and pac are similiarly skilled to ray robinson, Nvm Burley has a better resume than both?

Compubox is useless because it wasnt around for the early era ,remember we try to grade these fighters on things that can apply across all eras

You lost your mind if you think floyd didnt take a clean shot that whole fight , but thats only part of equation anyways ,where is the offensive output from floyd . You think he would have more knockdowns bull**** ,he didnt have knockdowns against maidana and castillo and he fought them more than once, Ezzard was getting those knockdowns in their first fight. Ezzard dominated and even held back against stopping guys like Joe louis, Floyds hardly ever in that position with past prime former greats its not close , Floyd doesnt dominant ****, boxing is about HITTING and not getting hit ,you are focused on the latter and using pure speculation to rank floyd(he would get knockdowns if they fought more lololol.)

i like Charles. Like I said I have him at 1. But in saying that you seem to cherry pick your Charles wins. He almost lost the second Moore fight it was extremely close. He did lose the two Walcott fights.
I never said Floyd would get more knockdowns. I said floyd himself would have probably dropped a few fights. And had some losses. And Floyd did plenty of hitting. His opponents respected him enough.

You should also look at the stage of each careers, not just names. Neither Pac or Alvarez were prime against Floyd.

I also didnt factor in primes for floyds dominant performances , I am aware of what ezzard did , I was talking peak performances against his best 6 . Hence why I didnt bring up ken overlin matches or what not.
