So Canelo makes excuses and says he's the better fighter yet won't do all he can to make the rematch happen. Instead he drags up a guy two weight classes.

    Ok.

Yeah, you see Canelo raised his right hand to let Bivol know it was hurt. That's why all those shots landed. If Canelo's hand was 100%, he would have countered every single one of those shots. LOL

Bivol needs to stop having excuses for not fighting Beterbiev.

Now that is the biggest disgrace in boxing today.

You are cherry picking clips! Why not show those big shots Canelo landed on Bivol’s biceps. They were clearly red and probably sore. That has to count for something! Big shots to his biceps all night. Probably had black and blue marks the next day. Some Canelo fans think those were scoring shots.

Canelo fans, bu, but Beterbiev doe.

They were scoring shots. Anything on the upper portion of the arms near the shoulders is scorable. It's in the ABC guidelines for judging criteria. People who were sure they couldn't be scored admitted they were wrong and I was right when I cited the judging guidelines.

But obviously some people (you?) are still in denial about it despite it clearly laid out in the judging guidelines.

Also, while you're being sarcastic about cherry picking clips, despite being hit with some of those shots, Canelo was still blocking, slipping and rolling with some of those punches. The fact is even in Bivol's best moments, like that clip posted above, you're still seeing examples of what makes Canelo such a great defensive fighter.

From the “expert” who thought that was a close fight. Those bicep punches are also known as blocked punches.

3 experts also thought it was close - the judges. 115-113 x3. Bivol landed some good shots, but over the course of the match, he struggled mightily all night trying to land clean or effective shots. He landed some clean effective shots, here and there, enough to win the decision, but it was very much a learning experience for Bivol, he had never been in there with someone as supremely skilled as Canelo.

The reason why Canelo lost is because he simply didn't throw enough punches in the rounds Bivol won (5-8, 10-12). In most of those rounds, Bivol did enough to win the rounds, but he was still struggling landing clean shots. Canelo showcased a lot of great defense in that match, he just didn't have the work rate needed to beat Bivol.

I would also add that in regards to Canelo's comments about Bivol, while I get people don't like it because it sounds like he's making excuses, he clearly did have a hand injury. He has every right to explain why, in his mind, he lost. He clearly is bothered by the defeat and let that be a driving force for him to seek the rematch in 2025 or beyond. Without that hunger to want to right the wrong, he could be less motivated as a fighter. If Canelo needs to say this to motivate himself to get that Bivol rematch eventually, that's probably what he needs to tell himself to keep him hungry. That even though he has plenty of work to do over the next 3 fights, a Bivol rematch, could still happen one day. It's obviously something he wants down the road. So let him say what he needs to say about why he thinks he lost. He's definitely not lying about having a hand injury, so it's not some made up excuse. We'll see how the hand holds up this weekend against Jermell. We're in FIGHT WEEK people!!

Then stop trying to diva Bivol and make the rematch.
If he was actually injured, he'll win, because he almost won the first time on the cards.
Doesn't seem so confident though, if he won't sacrifice a tiny big of the fortune he'll make to avenge his defeat.

Interesting Canelo wasn't 100% going into the fight though.
Kovalev knows what that feels like.
    So does Rocky Fielding.
    So does Chavez Jr.
Cancer Bones Jacobs even felt a bit 'drained'.
