March 27th in the beautiful City Gym in Okinawa for the soon-to-be vacant Japanese Strawweight title. Shigeoka aiming to win his second title in the pros and hopefully be more active in order to fight for the world title. His opponent Nakashima last fought for the belt and got stopped by Taniguchi in five rounds. Should be a fairly easy win for Shigeoka IMO. Shigeoka is ranked 3rd in the WBO. A fight between him and the current champion Taniguchi seems very likely, especially with Japan's strict restrictions on travel.
