Did anyone besides me notice there is not a single shread of truth to this?

1) Lorenzo' name came up as a possible replacement for Duddy, but they demanded the same purse Duddy was suppose to get. Duddy is a huge draw in New York, but Loreznzo is -- well -- Lorenzo.

2) Marquez is Lorenzo's next opponent, not Abraham. Marquez just fought a draw with McKart who Pavlik took apart in under 6 rounds.

3) Up to now Termelaksatian is probably Lorenzo's best win. I doubt if cameron dunkin is concerned about the ever dangerous Giovanni Lorenzo.

I hope to god Abraham does beat Miranda, because I understand this guy is Arthur's mandatory. We'll call it Pavlik/Lockett II!

Marquez will actually be a step up in class for Lorenzo but I expect that he'll get through the test.

 

As I recall Lorenzo was all set to disrupt the Miranda-Abraham II fight by forcing Abraham to fight him as a mandatory. But they convinced him to take the Marquez fight as a contender eliminator ( similar to Pavlik-Miranda ).

If Lorenzo wins against Marquez then he's pretty much guaranteed a shot against Abraham.

Lorenzo's resumé is below mediocre, I doubt he has fought anyone with a ranking better than 3 figures. He should not even be mentioning Pavlik's name until he has earned a few respectable wins.

 

Marquez will be the first top 100 opponent he's fought. Marquez is ranked in the top 50 by boxrec but I am not sure about what he's ranked by other organizations.

 

That could only be true if Pavlik thinks Giovanni is some famous hitman .. because he surely has never heard of Giovanni Lorenzo the boxer .. notwithstanding his amazing ring accomplishments ....
