I met Eubank Jr, he was ok, not rude or anything. He's just a bit boring, not a good conversationalist. Nothing like his old man.

Yes, only heard great things. Eder Jofre too is a wonderful person. I’ve only FaceTimed with him but (god willing) will meet him next year.

Arguello is a credit to the sport. He is class personified. I’d love to have met him. I hear his countryman, Chocolatito is salt of the earth too.

Would never hurt a fly outside the ring. Really appreciates fans approaching him for a chat.

I met Michael Spinks at my second amateur fight.
He wasn't rude or anything, didn't say much but he did shake my hand. I don't think he wanted to talk, just walking out to his car. Seemed kind of punch-drunk, not severely but it was there. He was nice.

All of those guys especially Leon ,Corey, Toney and Byrd were cool. Honestly, I have never had a bad experience with a fighter.

I’ve met a bunch of fight people over the years: Larry Holmes, Angelo Dundee, Gerry Cooney, David Reid (who I ran into at some amateur tournaments, loved to talk boxing), Mark Breland, Roy Jr., Roberto Duran, Evander Holyfield, Deontay Wilder ... those are the names that are coming to me right now but there are more. If you go to enough live fights, you’ll run into them.

All were cool and cordial. A few stand out:

We ran into Larry Holmes the day before one of his casino fights in Mississippi on his comeback trail, just crossed paths while I was with my brother and elderly father. Said hello and good luck champ and he stopped and thanked us for coming and started picking on my dad: “I’ll fight you, you’re old enough ... just don’t hit me in my face,” mugging playfully. Nice memory with my pops we would talk about over the years.

I was in England right after Paul Hodkinson beat Steve Cruz. In Liverpool to do a Beatles tour and we had lunch someplace and on the way out noticed a sign at a clothier saying Hocko was going to be there to meet and sign autographs, etc. Unfortunately the event wasn’t starting for an hour and we couldn’t wait. Well we turn the corner and there he is on the way to the store. I said hello and that I was a big fan and he stopped and got his belt out of a satchel and took a few pictures with me and him holding the belt. Neat guy, very down to earth.

Also met Leo Santa Cruz after a weigh-in before one of his Las Vegas fights. Said hello and since he had his green WBC belt asked if I could snap a quick phone picture. He just handed the belt to me and smiled and nodded. Then I got one of his handlers to hold it while I took a pic. It’s still my screen saver on my phone.

I never met him, but John L Sullivan when he was drunk, would definitely meet the criteria!

Grigory Drozd for me, when I tried to interview him multiple times and he was unable to answer. (too busy)

I met or saw Shane Mosley, Naoya Inoue, Mayweather, Freddie Roach, Zolani Tete, Karim Mayfield. Most of Russian boxers like Kovalev, Lebedev, Povetkin, Bivol, Provodnikov, Chahkiev, Mekhontsev, Kudryashov and all of them were good guys.

Kovalev, for example, in life very friendly and polite unlike his behavior in social media.
