Jeff Lacy is not Mike Tyson is he?

Yes the Kessler win was a good one, only time will tell how good it really was. Either way, it's still a very good one.

As far as you stating he beat ATG Hopkins. That is the sort of comment that really gets peoples backs up! Hopkins was 43! Hopkins is on his last legs and a grandpa. Joe gets credit for the win but you can only limit the credit given. If you move away from the fact that it was a win, the fight itself raised more questions about Joe's ability then it did to settle them.

Broadly speaking, nobody has a real problem with Joe, and many respect him as a talented boxer. It's just when people start stating he's the "best boxer of a generation", an aclaim he simply hasn't earned; thats when the hate and problems start.

Then i reliased it was nothing but bull**** after calzaghe kicked the **** out of lacy........ calzaghe should be given credit for saying he wants to fight pavlik after jones but he could be making a mistake looking pass jones :yep

Middleweight to light-heavyweight is not so strong just now. I think Joe beats Tarver, Dawson, Johnson and the rest at LHW, anyone at super-middleweight too, but it would be a 50/50 fight v Pavlik or Arthur Abraham.

And what would you suggest he does to get near the De la Hoya and Trinidads of this world? It's a good point - but what would he have to do say post Roy Jones - should he win that is?

He will win, don't be silly. But that won't contribute one iota to Joe being rated any better than he was before it. For obvious reasons. I think he is already close to the level of Trinidad and De La Hoya, but not there just yet, as those guys won more titles and more weights and took on tougher challenges when they were young and hungry. I don't think there is anything Joe can do at this stage in his career to ever be considered the equal of a Roy Jones Jr or a Bernard Hopkins or a Manny Pacquiao, but if he beats Pavlik I think he might be a top 10 P4P of his era, around on a par with Tito & DLH.

I haven't seen anything that Calzaghe will fight Pavlik after Jones so if he said that can someone let me know. I saw where he said he is going to fight again after Jones and defend his WBO belt but I think he probably wants to have a farewell fight in the UK since the Jones fight is in New York. He might as well fill the Millenium one more time but I really don't know if it will be against Pavlik. I think Pavlik would have fought him now but Pavlik's next fight after whoever he fights in the Fall will most likely be against Abraham. He is still making middleweight and I don't think he is ready to move up and stay. ALl that being said, I would love to see Pavlik/Calzaghe just a little more than Pavlik/Abraham but hopefully we get to see both

Whatever can be said he has been a champion for 11 years and you can't argue with that. Yes he has been known as a home fighter but how much his that down to him or his promoter warren, who his well known for keeping his fighters back and fighting real opposistion ie amir khan as only fought 1 genuine lightweight a past his best graham earl.

I think JC has been very unlucky with injuries, early on his KO record was good.. now his hands are shot and he uses his arm punches more and his loaded punches go to the body (I guess as there is less chance of them smashing up his hands).

He has tried to make bigger fights, thye have just not come off. Hopkins pulled out after he wanted more $s. Glen Johnson, this one I guess only Joe knows. He was getting caught up in a divorce and maybe was not up for it.

PACMAN and JC are my top two p4p at the moment, with Cotto coming close. I think Hatton may be a step too far for Manny though as I think he may not be able to take big hits... the jury is out. His resume is a little padded too TBF.

To the tune of 'The knee bone's connected to the... thigh bone' :

    # Warren is unhappy because he... lost Joe
    # Joe is ecstatic because of... more doh
    # Pavlik fans hate Joe because he... chose Jones
    # I am pissed off because I... can't go
    # And that's what it's all about... Rah!

No, I just chose to let you stew on it for a while and wonder if I am serious or not. I'm not even sure if I am or not.
