Dawg its not about who he's beat, its how he's done it.

On ability alone, Calzaghe is the best p4p fighter in the world - has been for years.

You put him up against any of your greats and he'll stand up against any of them. There's been good threads on how Calzaghe would shutout Hagler, Hagler would have a nightmare against him.

Sugar Ray Leonard says in his own book that Calzaghe is the best fighter he's seen, and when asked by Michael J Fox who would win between the two of them he says Calzaghe.

The only reason people degrade Calzaghe's opposition is because of the way he's handled them. If you compare Hopkins's resume to Calzaghe's - Where are these world class middleweights that everyone keeps talking about that Hopkins fought ? Where are they ?

    Trinidad - Welterweight
    De la Hoya - Welterweight
    Wright - Light-Middleweight

Tarver - Most over-rated fighter ever to box.

Calzaghe would shutout Trinidad and De la Hoya. It wouldnt even be funny to watch.

Calzaghe has actually fought better SMW's than Hopkins has Middleweight's yet everyone says Hopkins is ATG ? Well if your basing it on ability, then Calzaghe has to be there aswell.

Your boy is D man right now. Congrats to Calzahge. I agree that Kessler would beat both Taylor and Pavlik. Bigger, stronger, more experienced...especially after the Calzahge fight.

I gave Calzaghe all the respect he deserves... said so before the fight too...

Calzaghe was just too quick, experienced with superior workrate combined with great chin...

Overall, another great performance for Joe! :happy

as for Kessler, I give him all my respect too, even though he lost by a wide decision, he never looked silly against the champion at least. Did a lot better fighting in the inside than he did from the outside. (I didn't expected that...)

    Cheers to both! :good

From my point of view Calzaghe is no. 2 P4P right now - at least, AT LEAST!

It wasn't long ago that even the Yanks weren't interested in Borenard. He must have a good marketing team , because all of a sudden, without doing much, everyone thinks he's a legend in the same league as Hagler:lol:

Borenard's wins aren't as good as Cazaghe's. Also some people are forgetting that Borenard LOST to Roy Jones, and TWICE to the overrated Jermain Taylor. In other words, his record against top middleweights isn't especially good
