Wrong, he landed some goods right hands over the shoulder. Even caught with a left hook which Floyd is almost impossible to hit with. Landed a lot of jabs. Good right hands to the body. How many shots did Floyd hit him with? The reality is never guy hit the other very much.
canelo got a boxing lesson from the master cotto was more dominant than canelo... canelo ust could not handle floyd
Props to Canelo? He got schooled by a 36 year old, blown up WW. It wasn't really even competitive. Ortiz and Guerrero put up better fights. Like Ortiz, Canelo had or resort to cheating because of how bad he was being outclassed. The Judges were trying their best to give him the fight and he still lost.
Canelo did as good as he could he's a boxer puncher he's not a pressure fighter. I told people he would try and outbox pbf and I was right. Easy work.
Cotto did fight Floyd tougher but he also sustained more damage than Canelo. I hope this fight is next, Canelo beats Cotto!
I agree, but Canelo is speed limited and should have planned accordingly. If Canelo had asked himself why Castillo was so much more effective in the first fight than in the second, or why it took 10 rounds to KO Rick Hatton, or why Cotto was sometimes effective, and sometimes not, then he would have known exactly how to fight Floyd.
Cottos success gets is getting overdone. He won 3 tops, but all the rounds looked pretty competitive to be honest. Cotto has an great jab... that was the most consistent punch and really the only punch that actually landed flush from cotto. But I think a lot of this had to do with Mayweather more than what cotto was capable of. There is a reason why he got his father back as fast as he could, and we see the difference in his performances. This mayweather KO's cotto. I am sure that Canelo would beat and perhaps get the KO on cotto late... not diminishing Cotto, its just how I feel.
Biased much?? he got schooled thoroughly and you think he did well eh?? His only real chance was to strike within the first 3 or 4 rounds. He chose to box and have a look at Mayweather. Wrong execution and wromg in so many ways. He landed some shots on a guy who was riding most if not all of those shots he did land. Were you that judge that gave it as a draw??? :think:roll::rofl
You gotta admit he boxed damn well with Floyd. Wasn't a one-sided schooling at all, although Floyd won comfortably on points.
