Haha, Guerrero did not put up a better fight than Canelo. Ortiz did put up a good fight though. But you can't compare Canelo to what Ortiz did. Ortiz intentionally headbutted him. Canelo did no such thing, he low blowed him once, which was on the thigh. Besides that one time, he fought a very clean fight.
Being aggressive isnt enough. Canelo was trying to use timing, with fast counterpunchers you have to use timing. Canelo with his stamina, being more aggressive wouldve burned his energy more, and he would have probably been TKO'd late. But if he was just a little bit faster, the punches which nearly hit mayweather wouldve landed, and they would have made him more tentative to through. Canelo is not Castillo. Oscar, for instance, his success wasnt just being aggressive, it was due to his jab and hand speed. Mayweather becomes more tentative when a guy is nearly as fast as him or faster. Look at mayweather vs Judah, that speed had him tentative as hell in the beginning of the fight.
Guerrero fight was the closest of the 3 as that was an actual contest. The other two weren't even close. Like you say, anything Canelo or Cotto got, Mayweather gave them.
and could go forward without falling off balance. and could cut the ring off. and could be a bit smarter with his feints?? yep i agree:deal
LOOL the ******* is back with another ******ed POV. First half was 50/50l? LOOL Open your eyes!! Oh wait..
Perhaps you should study styles before popping off at the mouth dumbass. Canelo is a boxer puncher not a pressure fighter. You can't make him into something he's not. He was always going go try and out box pbf
My wife said the same thing. She is a teacher and gave Canelo an A for effort. She really appreciated the little guy's effort.
Canelo's got a weight advantage that's all. If Canelo had a good reach advantage maybe he would have had a bit more success but he's a short stocky guy. I thought he looked pretty sharp I'm sure he'll win his next fight.
Hand speed alone will not beat Floyd, and this has been proven by the Judah and Mosley fights. Castillo I, Hatton and Cotto all had some relative success against Floyd when they did allow him to set his feet when they were within his reach. Once Floyd gets his feet set and the other guy is within his reach, then Floyd become an offensive/Defensive monstor. However, when people hit him before he fully gets phis feet planted, they have a lot more success. I bet you Castillo has never figured out to this day why he whipped Mayweather in the first fight and couldn't in the second. Cotto will forever be mistified as to why he could score against Floyd in the mid-rounds until he became a bit tired. hatton will never figure out how he really lasted 10 rounds with Floyd yet got blasted ny Manny. It's because: you don't stand still in front of Floyd after he's planted his feet. You either hit him or get the hell out of his reach.
Ill tell you what I was impressed with. Floyd was trying to bait canelo with the pull counter and he would not bite. He is the only opponent to not bite. He also did swing where floyd was, he swung where he anticipated floyd to be which was good too
