Give Clottey Mayweather Sr. as a trainer and he would be p4p ranked

Clottey doesn't need Mayweather SR, he has a tight guard and a good chin.

This thread is a fail.....Floyd did his best on fight night, Hatton did the complete opposite to what he said he would, exactly as he did before the Floyd fight.

He is Elite, but not ATG, it's as simple as that.

 

That's more than likely. I kind of felt like the old man who jumps out of nowhere when you're about to do something wrong without knowing it,ld "No! Don't do that, son! That's 2-5 month County!" like a Dave Chappelle skit or something.

Anyway, I see Hatton as too much of a 'go along to get along' to do more than a: "He's the legendary Mayweather Sr... if he says this thing that's always worked for me is no good, well, who am I to say no?"

 

For a while + the pre fight stuff. What happened to Hatton didn't worsen my opinion about Mayweather as a trainer.

I think he knows his boxing, but it doesn't mean he's a good trainer. There's a thing as trying to do too much. He also seems irresponsible (arriving late all the time) + hard to work with (**** talking is fine as encouragement, to a point). How's Clottey's temperament cause if he hires Sr, there might a KO by Clottey before any of his fights.

 

I fail to see how Sr. is to blame for what happened Saturday Night.

#1 Hatton could have had any trainer in the world and he would have gotten his ass whipped the same way. He just doesn't have the speed or natural abilit to **** with that version of Pac.

#2 All these Hatton fans were on his nuts after the last fight talking about how he made Ricky a better fighter. You think all of a sudden on the biggest stage he was just gonna let Hatton down? At some point a fighter has to fight. He can't block and throw punches for the man!

#3 What Clottey really needs is a hit man to shoot Bob Arum. Only when that happens will he get the fights he needs.

 

yeah give em mayweather so he can show up 45 minutes before the fight starts and be late for every training session then when he gets knocked out floyd can go shake hands with the fans and smile and not give a **** that his fighter just got knocked the **** out
