    Wasn't that a non-title fight?

You must be joking! :patsch Neither fight qualifies. Taylor hardly "ripped" the title from Hopkins, and because he got a bogus GIFT DECISION, he wasn't exactly a "legit" champ, either.:-(

I'm brazilian and a great Freitas' fan (like most brazilians, he is a livin legend in Brazil) but Popó-as he is known here- wasn't the man anymore, despite good wins over Casamayor, Barrios, Grigorian and Raheem. Popó was retired (one year off) mentally shot, past his prime and dismotivated.

Agreed, Freitas was definitely past his best, and Casamayor was the legit champion.

Agreed, Freitas was no longer the great Fighter he once was, and Casamayor was and is the legitimate champion @135.

That's one of the best examples.

If you want to count Tyson snatching the championships, you could. Granted, the division was weak, but he ripped Trevor Berbick's sense of balance pretty good.

Yep! That's the one I was looking for. At the time it seemed like Danny Lopez would keep the title for who knew how long. I mean, he was knockin' everybody out, and then along comes this fresh faced kid and beats poor Danny's ass not once, but twice. I was mortified! The first fight I kept waiting for Danny to find a home for the right hand and do his thing, but Sanchez was just TO DAMN GOOD!!
