If I want to watch Holyfield I will watch ESPN Classic. He is a shell of his old self and I would not encourage him to fight any longer.:-(
for crying out load why do people still buy in to toneys bull****? the guy has NOT TRAINED FOR A FIGHT in 5 years. He he even more done than holy. /theo
You are right, especially that he fought only slick style fighters so there is no way he could lose to anyone else (I hope we are not discussing Mandalone or Bates). Rahman would be a good example, but I am afraid Holy deteriorated since this time - and even then he had to use his forehead more than usually accepted. Generally I agree with you - I was just trying to say that while Holy has better chance for an upset against (for example) Maskaev than against Byrd, his chance to get badly injured in the ring would be also much bigger. I just hope after he losses a few more one-sided decisions he will finally retire in good health (or rather in what is left).
Yeah Sam "i can't box for ****" Peter won 12 out of 12 rounds in their most recent fights and knocked him down with a jab, only to nearly be embarrassed by a 37 year old McCline, but surely a one year older Toney could handle Sultan!
Peter won 9 or 10 rounds vs McCline, and won just about every round after the knockdowns. That shows me right there why he schooled James Toney in a rematch and did the same vs McCline after he was almost out. No doubt, Peter's boxing skills have improved greatly. Pay attention CP!
That's a stupid question. I thought Lewis won that fight by a landslide..... goes to show how much you know.atsch
Well, i guess i can't convince you. But i suspect Toney loses to a journeyman or retires before he gets another shot at the big one. He already struggled with a journeyman in his last fight.
