*this is Kirk* I am really taking this loss badly right not for some reason.... but, lets give it up to Margarito and Boxing.... showing again why its the best sport in the world. If only this fight had more of the commercial push... it would have made a lot of new fans tonight. Props to Margarito.... i am sad though, and wish cotto could have pulled it out... im pretty much still in shock and mad/sad...
Now if everyone else will just start fighting each other more across all divisions. It would be back. The talent is there from top to bottom.
I know how you feel. I'm a big Cotto fan and I've been watching all of his fights from his career throughout this summer waiting for his moment to shine tonight. Strange feeling, shock is an exaggeration, but as far as being deeply saddened by a favorite fighter's loss, this is really ****ing sad. Boxing is the best sport ever by far, but we all already know that.
It was a fantastic fight, possible FOTY. Cotto fought great for as long as he could and Margarito finally made his mark, and I am very glad he did. :good
I'm a fan of both and all I asked for was a good fight and I got it tonight. I had Cotto winning the fight but wasn't too surprised or disappointed that Margarito won and won it by dramatic knockout. Great night for boxing indeed.
The greatest fight I have seen in a while. Two warriors that gave it all, what more can a fan ask for.
