Give me an example of a great fighter beating another great fighter with no excuses.

    It seems like everyone has an excuse after they lose but before the fight there is all this anticipation of a great even battle, examples are

    He was too small
    he was to green
    he was washed up
    he was no longer in his prime
    he was not training properly
    he was overated
    he was injured
    etc etc

    Not a Joe C fan but he received no credit for beating Hopkins but yet if you start a P4P poll on top fighters ESB will usually vote for Hopkins in the top 5. Paul Williams destroyed Wright and people say Wright is washed up but before the fight they were in question to who would win. GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE OF A GREAT FIGHTER DEFEATING ANOTHER GREAT FIGHTER WITH NO EXCUSE.

    Duran - Leonard 1, though i bet you some bull**** artist will pop up and say "Leonard fought the wrong fight.....:|". duran played a big part in him fighting the wrong fight.

    I'm pretty sure people will always have some excuse, no matter how ridiculous it is.

    Your thinking of the second fight, nobody disputes Mosley busting his ass in the first fight, and he was not on steroids in the first fight.

    No I'm not. The roids came up in the 2nd fight but people dispute now that Shane may have used them for the first fight and people still dispute the decision. I had it 116-112 Shane.
