    My picks.
    Sadam Ali defeating Miguel Cotto.
Ali was brought in to be a safe easy opponent for Cotto's final fight but Cotto ended up losing although he was injured somewhat.
    Caleb Truax defeating James DeGale
Truax was supposed to be an showcase opponent to give DeGale a statement win but DeGale underestimated him and lost.

    Your examples?

Don Curry against Lloyd Honeyghan. The cobra was unbeaten going into this fight and considered the top p4p. Honeyghan ended up destroying him

Besides this obvious answer Ima go with Pac vs Marquez 3 & 4 because Marquez was thought not to be any good above 140 and I remember the third fight was 144 and many thought Marquez won that one then the fourth they were saying Marquez must come up to 147 and then TKO 6

Cowardly ***** waits til JMM looks shot to bits after throwing rocks drinking **** and getting beaten by weightundisclosedweather, then finds the cohones to fight him again, and for the first time decides he can do the job clean. He fails

After getting humiliated and booed out the arena, Manny is forced into the rematch. Calls for extra testing. JMM gladly accepts, only for Team Pooch to withdraw that clause. Comes in a roided Superman once again (the difference between Manny in the two fights is laughable) Just when it looks like the corporate steroid cheat grub is gonna get his way.....

Ron Lyle vs Lynn Ball. Lyle takes tune up for his title fight against Big John Tate and gets KOed in 2.

Tommy Morrison takes a tune up the way to a title fight vs Lennox Lewis against Michael Bent and gets KOed in one on national TV (HBO) in his home town of Tulsa. Bent proceeds to get KOed and retired by Herbie Hyde in his next fight, making Morrison's loss look even more amazing.

I don't know if people would consider Maidana's win over Broner as a cherry pick gone wrong. At the time the fight was made many people believed Maidana did have ap punchers chance, but in boxing who doesn't. Many brought up the loss to Alexander as an example that he was going to have a long night.

    Just my humble opinion.

    Holmes vs Spinks I.

The whole point was that Spinks was thought to be the best blend of marketability and low risk (particularly on short notice) so Larry could match Marciano's 49-0. That was King's plan.

Nobody expected Mackie Shilstone's "modern nutrition and training" to put 25 pounds of good weight on Spinks in 3 months. Mike actually had a lower body fat % than he did prior to the jump up.

It's also my opinion that what Mackie did with Mike is what opened the floodgates for PED's to move from a fringe thing to becoming mainstream in the sport.
