The only reason "bad decisions" had close fights against B-Hop is that 160 was not good for Hopkins at that stage, he was killing himself to make the weight. Yes, I think Hopkins was robbed against Taylor and yes, I know he showed he is a better fighter in those fighter. In any case, those two "loses" are the only ugly thing in Bernard's amazing record. But damn, if Taylor beats Lacy, I'd be glad if he fights B-Hop at 170 and gets the ass kicking he truely deserves. The judges won't be able to save him this time !
I just know that at 170 Bernard knocks him out. That will silence all the **** he gets for those two fights. It won't be boring at 170, and it's a good fight for regular HBO
For me as a B-Hop fan it will be a great moment when he knocks out this guy who has two fake wins against him. It will be a very fitting win number 50 for the executioner
Hopkins was not having trouble making weight. Just 10 months before the Taylor fight, Hopkins weighed in at 156 against Oscar de la Hoya. Does that sound like someone with weight issues? Taylor beat Hopkins cause of his handspeed and cause he had a pretty decent gameplan. Anyways there will always be an excuse if you look hard enough, but sorry this one is not legit. Howeveri agree that Hopkins still showed he was the much better fighter despite his loss, but i don't agree with the weight draining excuse. Hopkins vs Taylor 3 is a fight i'd like to watch though
Why does Taylor 'deserve an ass kicking'??? The guy fights his heart out, is always respectful and a genuinely good guy so it seems.
Pavlik ----> go back to middleweight Hopkins ---> fight the winner of RJJ/JC Taylor ----->fight the loser of RJJ/JC Dawson ---->fight the winner of either two of those fights.
