Give me your honest take - Why is AJ-Fury suddenly a 50-50 for many people?

I’d say it’s a combination Fury’s recent attitude about the fight & inactivity.

I still think he can get it done.

but less willing to put money on it.

Boxing is a very mental game, Wallin doesn't change character or get goaded into nonsense unlike many.

For many, yes, but I think that can be a misconception. Fury-Wilder 2 was a good example of this.

I personally didn't see Fury's unexpectedly tough fight with Wallin as having any bearing on his chances with Wilder. I just saw it as an off night and an unfortunate cut, and the 12 tough but not punishing rds as good preparation.

The Pulev fight was somewhat similar, even though less competitive imo. AJ got some rds in against a good jabber and experienced pro, which was my main take away from that fight.

Casuals see the big muscly guy and the fat white guy, puts their life savings on the big muscly guy to win.

when did fury became a dominant fighter? he is highly inconsistent, on one fight he can do everything well like against wilder and on another night he can look completely vulnerable like against wallin. both fury and joshua are the best opponents of each other career, beating shot vlad in a close pot shotting contest isnt harder, and joshua has shown that he can fight both offensively and on the backfoot effectively. i think the fight is a tossup, it wouldnt surprise me if it ends up being razor thin with the losing side claiming robbery.

It isn't 50 50 , Fury is the favourite for good reason. Joshua is definitely more inconsistent though. Ruiz is a solid B level guy, but I couldn't see him ever beating Fury.

Haye job is to sell the fight. Probably eyeing up a spot on the commentary team on the night.

I'd say he still see's Fury as favorite.

What's changed for David Haye is that Eddie Hearn has instructed him to pick AJ to create the illusion that this is a 50/50 fight in order to reel in gullible fans to order PPV's, buy tickets and place bets.

It's no different to when Oscar De La Hoya in the buildup to any Mayweather fight without fail used to pick Floyd's opponent to win, think he did the same for Pac fights.
