    He sucks, end of.

Conditioning is horrible and with his build it's not going to improve much. He requires way too much oxygen. And standing in range of your opponent, doing absolutely nothing but get hit constantly by jabs (Not even good jabs, mind you.) is just a bad idea in so many ways. I'm really not a fan. Power alone won't carry you to the top of the heavyweight division. Even Tyson needed a whole lot of skill to make that power effective.

My prediction: Stiverne is going nowhere (except possibly the hospital when he runs into someone who can fight a bit).

And who did Stiverne lost to?
    Thats right:Demetrice King

    Come man! Thats just bad.

Ohh and who did he draw with?
    Yeah thats right: Charles Davis

Thats even worse than losing to Demetrice King!

I think the bright lights and the big cameras made stiverne perform the way he did.... He has looked better than he did that night... I was looking for a double left hook to the body.... Which he didn't throw much of... He's definitely NOT ready for a Klitschko... A little more seasoning and some build up then maybe later...

There's nothing in his win column to counterbalance these embarrassments, either.

Before Austin, his best win would appear to the naked eye to be Kertson Manswell - who was 20-0 (15) at the time. HORRIBLY padded record. Manswell is in actuality twice as bad as King or Davis. Mike Perez made him look like a Toughman reject on Prizefighter, and he got shutout by Cedric Boswell despite a re-aggravation of the Boz's shoulder injury.

If you dig a little deeper, his next best win to Austin is actually Franklin Lawrence by 1st round TKO - but that was from an arm injury Lawrence sustained himself while throwing an errant blow (similar to Abraham-Bozic).

I think as mandatory challengers go this is the worst i've seen for a while, probably since ray austin himself actually.

Oh yeah, that's what he got taken out by mediocre journeyman Demetrice King.

Perhaps you meant "also has a SUSPECT chin." :nod

Totally agree. Kertson Manswell is only a part time boxer. He is a priest i read and saw a video sometime.
He´s not even so serious about boxing. Don King only feeded Stiverne with Manswell beacause Manswell was undefeated.

I actually hoped that Austin would get the UD over Stiverne.
Man he is gonna get killed against Vitali.
He is not even worthy to be a title belt holder.

i like stiverne. he is a patient fighter in the ring. i dont think he could beat wlad, againts vitali he has a chance since vitali is getting old. but, he definitely brings something to the HWs which lacks in competition

I wonder if he could lose like 15 lbs?
    (Looked a bit pudgy)

Could help his lack of hand speed a bit.

Worse. Except for that one big display of power at the end, he proved to be the inferior man to Austin pretty much all night.

...and this Austin at 40 years old, more than four years after he was a mandatory.

    More stocky than pudgy, IMO.

He's already a small HW (looked a full weight class below Austin despite weighing in exactly the same, and it wasn't just the four inches in height he gave up). He doesn't need to be giving opponents any more advantages than the zillion most will already have over him.

Don't you guys know, boxrec is B.S. Who cares if he lost to Demetrice King, afterall Rhodes lost to G.Lockett and we see how "competitive" he was against Alvarez:roll::roll::nono
