    Bernard hopkins is 46,almost 47 years old!!!!! and he fought a good fight. if the scores was based on who landed the better punches,i thought hopkins had won.if based on activity dawson won. if u look at the fight again closley, every time dawson would explode with punches only one or two was really landing. After dawson lost to pascal, people startet say he was soft harted ans all thath crap.before he lost to pascal he was the big thing at light heawyweight. Dawson is a very talented boxer, and lets see how good his next opponents will do against him.even if hopkins didnt win,he wasent outclassed, and he landed some good punches. and when hopkins did throw combinations and moved side to side he landed all punches and dawson would miss in return. The man is frikkin 46 years old,and fighing top level. what does it really take to give him his well earned props!!!!! The stupid thing is thath the people not giving him his props his normal fightfans who clearly dont know boxing, and just hate or cheer for a boxer based on who they like, not who is skilled or who is exetuting a good strategi and so on..Too many fans todey say they pay money to see a knockout, they say they want to see boxer who are exiting and coming foreward. but guess waht,if u just want to look at a fighter banging out and coming foreward,u wount see a boxer using his skills. look at hopkins, hes a big pice of art.a masterfull boxer. u can see him think, setting traps, keeping distance, using footworkt too get in and out of positions, using unpredictable punching, using deefense. look at at young bernard hopkins. hes a frikkin 46 years old,and people still wount give him his props. he has acompliched more in his 40s than many boxers have in their whole carrer. The man truly is a living legend!!!!!

    If Hopkins didn't spoil he'd have lost a lot more fights so I don't see him as this legend people make him out to be.

    Not almost 47, he is 47 years old. The comment above is ridiculous, its saying if Bernard allowed more of his opposition to hit him, he would lost more! Genius!

    I said spoil - there's a difference between spoiling and nullifying your opponent. Grabbing, headbutting, vying for time, crying foul is not sportsmanlike behavior and against the rules of boxing.

    Hopkins would receive alot more respect from me if his wins were without these clouds hanging over him. There isn't a person on this site who can say I haven't manned up and admitted when proven wrong by poster or fighter.

    Hopkins had a legitimate good win vs Tarver but for me that was his last. He spoiled vs Taylor and Winky would have beaten him if he didn't spoil consider that.....

    :lol::lol:

    If Floyd Mayweather didn't use that defence he'd have lost more fights, so I don't even see him as being undefeated :oops:

    It was masterclass defensive/rough performance against a guy who was quicker on the trigger and had every single physical advantage in the universe, and Hop landed some very sharp returns. I don't argue with the scoring but Bernard was doing such subtle things to take away the power from chad like moving at just the right time and blocking all the dangerous combos that if he were less of a master he would have been hurt.

    I was not bored, actually, and though I certaily agree Chad won more rounds it was way way closer than people make out. Bernard never had any points deducted so he must not have been "unreasonably" dirty.

    Hope Bernard walks away, because he is getting to a very polished super elite journeyman level for the intents of activity/scoring - "no, you'll never ever get me out of here but I probably will give away rounds" and I don't want to see him fight on until 50.

    No due for Barnyard when it comes to Bad Chad! I've said it for 5 years now and I was absolutely 100% right! Chad would tap Barnyards ass! Barnyard had been running from this guy for years. And, when Chads Pascal debacle happened, Barnyard thought he was vulnerable. not even BHOPS dirty ass headbutts could stop Chad from whooping his ass. Not only that but last night I saw at least 3.5 years of Floyd SR.'s impeccable gym work and defense on Chad. Just another reason why it's time for Barnyard to go out to pasture. Chad had has too much skill for this guy. If the 1999 version of BHOP shows up last night the end result is the same!

    Barnyard got his ass kicked! Get real. He did not land the cleaner shots. That's wholly your imagination and your wish list at work!

    Really? The fact I make more money betting on boxing than I do working begs to differ.

    But please, if you have 3 properties in the UK and 2 abroad while coming from a working class background continue to to advise me on how little I know.

    agree. we are witnessing the greates +40 boxer there has ever been. let alone 47.

    i'd still favour hopkins over a number of top 10 fighters in his division, despite been 47.

    its incredible. Bernard is making history. he still doesnt look shot despite being 47.

    people need to show more respect. name another fighter in the history that can fight as well as bernard fights at his age.

    omfg!!!!! ofcourse he would have lost more fights if he didnt have thath defense.WTF man. thats the reason the good boxers have good defense. a great defense like hopkins and mayweathers is an art to do. shour everybody can have thath good defense, but its about having great defense and landing smart punches togheter. and if bernard got his ass kicked you really should just go take a school for judging or become a trainer so u can see the difrense between being ass kicked and loosing. he only god a little bruise on his head after thath headbutt, and nothing more, and u call thath asskicked.hilarious. comon man.lets get real and studie the facts and not just say a bunch of things thath has NO meaning. its so funny listening to people like this. it make the whole forum like a comedy book to read. i read every day articles people write to say their oppinions and the facts. yes,the fact may be thath hopkins lost the fight on points, but the thing is he did a better job than most people would, and he is 47 years old. i find it crazy thath people dont relise thath the man is 47years old.i almost feel sorry for the people who cant see thath. the man can loose all he wants, and still will be a legend to me,cause he is 47 years old and it doesent matter.you can say he aint no legend, but the fact is with a recordbreaking defens of his middleweighttitle and winning the light heavyweight title at age 46 is legendary, cause its never been done berfore. lets keep it real
