Given that Vitali has not lost to Lewis and Byrd, where would you rank him all time?

Let's say he was not cut and TKO'd Lewis in the 8th. And won a UD vs Byrd despite the injury.

Plus he TKO's Haye late in his last fight before retirement.

He would be pretty high but not as high as Mike Tyson, who KOd him.

In my scenario Tyson beat Williams, despite the knee injury and then KO Vitali who was coming from tough Lewis win.

So I would have Vitali around 11-15 on all time HW list.

I'd have him just below duane bobick, who didnt get knocked out by norton in the first round but instead won by tko in the 3rd then won the wbc title by beating larry holmes, and dominated the division until he eventually lost to tyson in 87 aged 37

    11-15  are you serious?

You'd rank an unbeaten in 44 fights, undisputed, linear champion with 15 successful defenses, highest ever KO ratio, that barely lost around in his entire career and has a KO win over not shot top ATG on his resume, between 11 and 15???

    :nono

You only have 2 fights to change the outcome, and they must have been very close/controversial.

Plus one more that didn't happen to add and it must be a realistic, likely to actually happen match.

The TKO was in the 6th, it gets posted so much it remains lodged in my brain

Thanks, I didn't even read the rest when I saw 11-15...

**** taking is hardly justifiable here as Vitali's career needs very little altering and it can be argued that the man's skills/performances need no altering (except the Byrd quit maybe).

To me the two fights do not factor in. One of the fighters was injured so we did not get a decision.

So while I don't hold those fights against Vitaly... I also don't give them to him as wins (despite being ahead in both fights .. and definitely winning the Byrd fight and perhaps winning the Lewis fight).

Norton and Knoetze weren't close fights. Besides it's not realistic that he'd get a shot and win vs Holmes. You gotta keep it realistic. My altering is so realistic it's almost real :deal
