Given that Vitali has not lost to Lewis and Byrd, where would you rank him all time?

Let's say I knocked out Vitali, Wlad, Tyson, Lewis, and five ATGs..where would you rank me?

The reason why so many people are giving you **** in this thread, is that some Klit fans will begin to bridge the gap between 'what if' and 'we should assume' when they begin to talk about Vitali.

    Only a matter of time.

If I'd say anything to Larry Merchant on live HBO, I'd treat it seriously. Besides Emmanuel Steward wrote in his book that Vitali was the main reason Lewis retired and Lewis himself told him that.

I don't say "give it to him". I say - look at the facts as they are and admit he's on Lewis level so not beyond top 20 atg ;)

Vitali's greatest achievement is losing to Lennox.

    He's not on Lewis' level.

Lewis turned down scary money for the rematch from what I've read so that should tell you someone wasn't as confident as his fans :)

Not really, but I do think Vitaly would win if they fought again.

I don't count them as real losses, so it wouldn't effect much in my estimation. Byrd fight is insignificant, Byrd TKO9 really appears like a joke on both their records. Lewis fight, had Vitali been allowed to fight on and knocked Lewis out in the 7th, would've placed him a few notches higher, lower level top 10 most probably.

If Vitali beat Lewis then there would have been a re-match. And how would Vitali have won that first fight? An assumed Vitali victory creates too many ripples and thus is extremely difficult to use as consideration of where he would be ranked in this imaginary scenario.

    My all time great list;

    1) Duane Bobick (beat norton, holmes retired 50-0)
    2)Vitali Klitschko (tko8 Lennox Lewis)
3)Henry Cooper (beat ali and liston)
    4)Lennox Lewis
    5)George Foreman (beat ali)
6)Buster Douglas (beat holyfield and bowe in addition to tyson)
7)Joe frazier (beat ali 3 times)
8)Ali (lost to frazier 3x, foreman and cooper, i know i am probably overating him)
    9) Haye (beat wlad, vitali, I know you probably think he is underrated here but vitali was old when haye knocked him out in the 4th)
    10) Zora Folley (went the distance with ATG cooper, beat liston and ali and patterson, but is 10th because of his other losses to lesser competition)
