Firstly the Mad Hatter has been a credit to boxing for fighting the best fighters year in year out over the past 4 years.

Castillo, Tszyu, Collazzo, Urango(looks an even better win now) then Mayweather. He is coming of a defeat and is taking a fight against a former world Champion..

The ESB guys on here give JOE Calzaghe credit for beating a 43 year B-Hop and accept a Manfredo etc

Hatton deserves this match, judge him on the next fight after this.

Hatton for me out of any British fighter has faced the best opposition.

He doesn't deserve ****. He makes millions of pounds, like any other fighter in the spotlight. I'm not going to ***** foot around the man. He disgusts me with the **** that comes out of his mouth. He takes everyone to be a ****ing mug (of which his majority non boxing fan fanbase take the bait), eh Ricky. Or should I say wicky.

I think he could have picked someone with a bit more left in the tank; Paulie has a harder fight on the same bill against Ndou (even though he has beaten him already).

And lets not get carried away with the recent Urango KO; the guy was and still is a one-dimensional tank; I don't think Ricky gets any more kudos for that result.

43 year old Hopkins is better than Lazcano and Witter. Now please, go and find me 1, just 1, person who didn't give Calzaghe **** for fighting Manfredo. He didn't get anyone's respect or credit for beating him.

Why is it acceptable for our lad wicky to have a warm up fight (warm up for Paulie, are you ****ing kidding, malignaggi is not a ****ing Cotto et al) but any other fighter presumed by most to be a top 15 P4P get ****ing crucified. All very well fighting Laczano after a loss to Floyd when youre 22 wicky.(''oh and poor Hatton, I needs to warm up against some twicky mexican cos they luv me ova there, take me as one of they own, so gunna waste 7 months fight fans time by sayin fanks to my adoring fans who are aw lads just like me'' - **** off you *****)

Imagine if B-Hop decided to go fight Joey Spina after his big loss, or JMM fight Mzonke Fana, or......... and so on and so on.

i have no problem with wicky having a warm up fight but i do have a problem with him pretending its a big and dangerous fight.

This is a fight to make Hatton look good. He just got knocked the **** out and he needs to KTFO somebody else to redeem his confidence. I hope he loses just so he does not think of a rematch with Floyd. ODH too, nothing against them just want a Floyd/Cotto fight that bad.

You're better than this kind of drivel, mate.

Plenty of fighters have faced C-quality opposition, just like Hatton is doing, after their first loss. Hearns, Tyson, Benitez, Lewis, Hagler, Ali and so on. What Hatton is doing is what many elite fighters have done in the past, following their first loss.

What's he meant to do to hype it? Say Lazcano isn't a worthy opponent and has no chance?

what we need is witter to mess up timothy bradley then call hatton's arse out on live national tv and chat some **** about him, try and stir some tension up amongst the casuals that may be tuning in. try and get the nation really interested.
