Oh, so Calzaghe against Lacy was on neutral ground? That's a different approach than most people take.

People say a lot of stuff. Bernard Hopkins said he'd never lose to a white boy.

Roy Jones Jr, would've been a helluva lot more respectable than Manfredo.

Why did he not move up a weight and then go back down to face Kessler?

He said himself before the Hopkins fight he carries the weight well.

You must not have been reading the boards much recently as quite a lot of people think that the fight is not worth it. But it is likely to happen, so you'll be happy there.

There's no evidence whatsoever that Jones would have been interested anyway.

calzaghe was the one stepping out of his comfort zone to prove people wrong, hopkins was fighting in territory he was used to.

much like if they fought in manchester, even though it's not joe's "hometown" he'd still be fighting in a familiar environment.

I don't think it's worth it now, but back then what would've gave him better exposure in the USA Manfredo or Jones Jnr?

What would've been the more competitive fight?

'Back then'? We're only talking a year ago. It's a purely hypothetical situation anyway because there's no way Jones would have wanted any part of it.
