Marvelous Marvin Hagler deserves all the praise given to him, he earned the absolute respect from us fans, and world wide fans too. He was such a great man and champion, respected by past and present champions alike.
Absolutely Richard. Such a great guy and true champ, back when winning the world title meant something. Defending it year in and out and always turning up in great shape. Taken too damn soon my friend!
He sure was my friend, my favorite Marvelous Marvin Hagler title bout was the April 15 1985 one against Thomas Hearns, great fight.
I admit Hagler was never a favorite fighter of mine, but I can't deny he was one of the greatest. When you add that up with all the great fighters that we've lost over the last several years, its sad to see.
