Floyd did what he was supposed to. When you are in a complete mismatch you are supposed to dominate. If anything he should be ashamed that he didn't stop marquez.

I expected to come on here and see floyd nuthuggers blowing this thing out of proportion. Glad to see everyone's being realistic.

Guess I missed those. THis is my first time on since the fight. Get real people. I won't give a guy credit for doing what he's supposed to. The only people that didn't say this was a mismatch going into the fight were floyd fans that wanted to be able to talk up the win afterwards.

People are excited about Floyd not because of the opposition (Marquez clearly a B fighter at this weight), but because of how Floyd himself looked. Faster than he's been in years, light on his feet, blazing handspeed and elusiveness. Nobody is really rating the win as even a top 10 one, it's a tuneup.

I knew PBF was going to win. With that said I thought he would be more rusty. I was pleasantly surprised that he looked even better than I thought after a long lay off.
As for as talking **** I didn't do it as much because I and most other PBF fans like and respect JMM. I talked a lot of **** before and after the Hatton and Oscar fights because I didn't like them. If PBF fights Pac next we'll be back in full force dealing with *******s.

I really don't understand the demand for pacman vs Shane. Didn't last night show people that there is no way Floyd is going to lost to a dude that small? I'd rather see FLoyd vs Shane or Williams (I know people want to see him against Cotto but I don't think Cotto stands a chance)

The Williams fight won't happen. I don't think we'll ever see Willaims back at 147. PBF wants the most money he can get and Pac or even Cotto bring more money to the table than Shane does. Once he fights Pac or Cotto then he'll probably face Shane but he has to get in line.

What else would you expect by fighting an older, smaller and slower guy. Of course he'll look all that sharp. He fought a smaller, slower counter-puncher who of course did not press the action and whose power punches he took like jabs.

I understand the money part of the sport. I really don't understand why as a fan you would care about that though. I don't blame floyd for taking the money fights. Hell I'd do the same thing. As a fan I would rather see the more competitive fights though.

    hmm says . . .

He dominated JMM on points... points... stats...

I watched the fight but hardly paid serious attention to the whole fight. Was it just me but I didn't get too excited?

Right because anything other than giving floyd a rusty trombone and shouting his greatness from mountain tops constitutes hating.

Perhaps. But Mayweather was coming off a two-year layoff and taking on a top P4P guy who, although smaller, was coming off some great wins. I expected Floyd to win, but not in such dominating fashion. I think he deserves credit for the WAY in which in win, rather than that he did, which as you say, was expected.
