Everyone here realizes that the boxers that are generally criticized for glass chins in fact have iron chins compared to the rest of us right?

Same for boxers "without a punch". 99% of the posters here would have trouble making it out of the first round with Paul Malignaggi or Pernell Whitaker.

I'm just saying, anyone silly enough to think they could beat any of these notorious pro "glass chins" or "light punchers" is deluding themselves.

Diaz and Maidana would have knocked me out cold with the shots they landed on Khan

Not that i'd get in the ring with either of them though...

    Do they though?

Apart from being in good physical shape, how can you actually train "punch resistance"?

OP could likely be ktfo by a pawed range-finding jab.

Exactly. All this stuff about having a good chin = giant balls/high t levels/ big neck muscles etc needs to stop. When you get knocked out with a shot on the chin its just hitting a nerve that runs through that area. It's almost like a funny bone. If you whacked your funny bone hard enough you would lose your legs for a second as well.

My guess is, that nerve may be placed just slightly differently in some peoples skulls(all of our heads and faces are shaped slightly differently) and some peoples get bumped easier.

Please don't enter the science of chin checking if you aren't knowledgable enough. Leave it to the likes of Zakman and Rico.

It's not trained in, never said it was. Basically you have it or you don't. If someone gets to be world champ, he's pretty much has a good chin.

Not anymore, now it's called glass chin. Better start getting used to it.
