There aren't very many fairweather fans in boxing, if that is in fact what you meant? Boxing fans are very passionate and support their fighters. Cotto still has fans even though he's lost twice. Alvarez has tons of fans even though all the critics say his boxing skill isn't superb and he gets hit. I'm sure Maidana has fans because of the style he brings, but isn't the best boxer by any means. People really read too much into Floyd's success, thinking he is a star simply because he is undefeated.
