That is an important difference. When you consider the chin of someone like Joshua when compared to guys like Khan or Szpilka, you have to factor in that in the assessment of punch resistance. Based on what we've seen, AJ has a much better mandible than those guys.

Fair enough but he's also been in there with some very good punchers and not been ko'd.

Silakh goes down to tomato cans and out to anyone who can punch worth a damn.

    Ask yourself this.

If it was you, whose chin would you want in their primes and maybe even now? LOL

I'd want Mundine's, even though it isn't so much better than Sillakh's. Sillakh's chin is pure glass, I don't trust him to be able to take any meaningful shot. Mundine he at least can take some shots against good punchers.

Anyways, just my opinion. Both of them have glass in their chins.

Mundine is just a crafty vet who knows how to not get hit. Silakh also likes to go to war more but honestly I dont think he's ever been stopped by anyone as questionable as Ottke or Brooks. I'd take Silakhs chin but with Mundines ring IQ if I were mixing attributes of both fighters.

Mike Lee showed a glass glove against Caleb Plant the other night.

That Ottke knockout was bad but Mundine was still a puppy in there and he didn't get knocked out again until 2010, which was 9 years later. Don't get me wrong, it's a bad chin but wasn't Sillahk badly staggered against some random bum before his Grachev fight and even after that one, he was staggered by professional loser Mitch Williams. I remember watching that shot too, it was some grazing shot that had Sillakh badly wobbled doing a horrific chicken dance LMFAO.

Tyson Fury still has one of the worse chins I ever seen in the modern heavyweight division. That is why he runs so much. Fury has a worse chin than Amir Khan.

Fury gets up and wins fights every time he goes down. Like Zakman said the difference between the likes of Fury and Joshua is while they can be hurt and go down they're much harder to stop outright which is why they didn't make this list.

Lol he didn't win against Wilder. He lost and got a draw. The point is he went down. He also went down to light punching Cunnigham like I said. He also went down to light punching Never Pajkic. The thing is Fury would go down more but he runs. He knows he can't take a punch. He has been fighting for 11 years and the best two people he fought were old Wlad and unskilled Wilder. He landed 86 and 84 punches in 12 rounds. He runs to protect his glass chin.

Also you are a Tyson Fury fan. Nothing you type can be taken seriously. I will assume you are a Brit so again nothing you type can be taken seriously.

Ad hominem attacks and insults why? Fury doesn't have a great chin but it's not the worst which is why he isn't on this list. This is reserved for the worst of the worst.

Not really. The best they've faced is similar. Fury - Klitschko, Wilder. Joshua - Klitschko, Parker.

yeah, all of this needs to be factored in. Certainly, there are questions about Joshua's punch resistance - there SHOULD be after what happened in the Ruiz fight, and even before. But to suggest he belongs in the top 10 of current glass jaws is premature, to say the least.

My sense is he will not prove to have the recovery powers of a guy like Fury or Larry Holmes, but who knows? He did recover well against Klitschko, albeit a faded Klitschko.

Looks like Juanma is active again. He'll have to be included somewhere on the list!

Definitely the top 5. It's weird not being able to rank them, Kirkland and Jones. Doesn't feel right. Those 4 and Khan were the perennial top 5 for a long time.
