Well, you'll just have to wait a month or so before putting Kirkland back in! LMFAO

How did I miss this? Green is still active? He's as glassy as they come!

    Fury's Jaw is solid.

He took two of Wilder's best clean shots and banged his head on the canvas.
Then, he got up and ate another clean haymaker from Wilder before going on to win the rest of the round.

    Very sturdy mandible.

Wilder should be on the summer 2020 list. Fury hurt him every time he landed and he’s the one of the most pillowfisted heavyweights in boxing.

it really doesn’t feel right without Kirkland and Jones on there both of who have a Glass Jaw so bad that they get stopped by the most feeble of punches. Jones at least can get back on the list in the near future.

Wilder hit Fury with the kitchen sink and he got up. Neither Fury or AJ have proven to pack glass.

The only shot he went down from to the head was one that landed in a similar position to the one that Ruiz landed on AJ, which wasn't the chin. And this was from a guy with a huge weight advantage fighting on the front foot for the first time that I can remember. So no, he shouldn't. If Fury had iced him properly with a jab or something ridiculous then yeah I would agree, but this is a bad take.

Does this really still need to be explained? Chin or jaw are euphemisms for punch resistance. If you go down from a head shot from a non puncher your punch resistance is questionable. Wilders was always questionable. Being sent down by Sconiers, wobbled by Molina, out on his feet against Ortiz (saved by the bell as well as extra time in the next round) knocked out by Romanov in the amateurs.

Why were guys like Chisora able to eat Furys shots way better? Wilder has a glass jaw. Which is why he was coddled for years.

I don't accept a shot to the temple can constitute toward a glass jaw. Being hit there disrupts your equilibrium, so saying shots landing there are applicable to the chin chat is a non-starter for me. It's the one part of the head (other than the back of it) that ought to be excluded from the conversation.

No one is saying he has a good chin. But it isn't binary. It isn't solid or glass, that's dumb. If it was glass then he'd have been stopped a long time ago, even against the guys he was fighting. Especially when you factor in how light he is for a modern HW. His chin isn't good, but it's not glass. Price is a good example of glass because he'd been iced by guys who weren't punchers.

If his handlers put him in with live fighters on the way up it would have happened. Wilder was as coddled as they come on the way up and his run at HW as a major belt holder is one the worst ever. But mark my words you will see Wilder hit the deck more now that jig is up.

Glass jaws get exposed at lower levels. He got rocked a couple of times by heavier guys which isn’t unusual in the HW scene in the least bit. I’m not having that he’s glass at all. He doesn’t have a good chin, but it’s not glass. Fury was floored and hurt by much smaller and worse guys. AJ was all over the place and stopped against Ruiz (who hadn’t ever shown power before). Whyte has been rocked lots of times, including against Rivas and Helenius. It happens. I don’t think any of them should be classed as glass either. HW has to be looked at differently to other weights when comparing chins IMO

Fury was never dropped by anyone as bad as Sconiers or Nichols(that may have been a balance issue more than anything else but it WAS a non-counted knockdown)

Ha I kinda regret reviving it. Glass jaw gets passed about way too easily in boxing. Neither Joshua or Wilder have glass jaws. I only said Wilder because I don’t like him haha but I do legit think his chin isn’t good it’s just not glass.
