Seems to be a pattern with Silvas fights lately. I Think the great Dana McMahon may be on to something.
not really. you get glas jaws in both sports, but they are far more likely to be exposed in MMA due to the lack off padding on the gloves Inability to avoid punches has nothing to do with having a glass jaw
Right now I'm liking Forrest Griffin for GJDOTY due not only to his disgraceful performance in Rio but also his prior history. A guy that's been KOed by a Jab and then goes down to a grazing blow to the side of the head in his next glass shattering performacne has to be a frontrunner. That being said, Okami's performance that same night was also hilarious and he's also a serious contender for the title.
Glass gimmick exist in forum. FACT [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py6eYmM5l6c&feature=fvst[/ame]
Forrest and Todd were surely joint winner last year But this year neither guy was pulverised by the first demi semi decent hit on their jaw Most importantly - its only September - we got a few months left yet to find our definite winner (and we still got Brock Reem to wait for :hey)
For sure, it's very early to be making heavy favorites and that bout is DEFINITELY one that will be placing someone somewhere high up on the list. As for Forrest, no, he wasn't KOed as embarrassingly as he was by Silva but it was about as quick and the shot that sent him flopping around like a fish out of water wasn't very solid, at all. I still think he'll be in the running.
It's because of the pathetic breed of modern fight fan who actually likes early stoppages, refuses to criticize fighters due to fanboyism, and, YES, denies that some fighters possess Fragile Glass Jaws. This rampant denial has become outrageous and consciencious posters like the Chincheckers have decided to take this mindset head on and defeat it with logic. Glass Jaws Exist in all sports involving punching. It's irrefutable.
