It's been awhile since we have ranked what mandibles are the most fragile in the HW division, but here are my top five: 1. David Price 2. Alexander Dimetrenko 3. Charles Martin 4. Deontay Wilder 5. Carlos Takam
You forgot Donnie Palmer getting starched in 40 seconds and also Nick Webb put down by Dave Allen This content is protected This content is protected
You gotta put Price up there on any all-time list. Honestly, I think his fragile mandible stands up, or more accurately, doesn't stand up, to any of the most glassiest jaws of all time.
Those are some seriously fragile mandibles, no question. I was thinking of fighters that had a bit more prominence though.
Price's fragility is definitely there, but a technical analysis of his actual 'chin', gassing variable aside, needs to be considered. 1. First Thompson fight, eardrum shot, leg wobble wave off, no concussion. Little weird. 2. Second Thompson, gassed, took barrage of clean shots, never went down, waved off. 3. Roid Kebab fight. Roid Kebab broke that other English fighter's jaw. 4. Hammer fight, gassed, took barrage of clean shots, never went down, waved off. 5. Povetkin fight. Charr was punched right through the ropes, Dave stayed in the ring. Price never got KO'd by a cartoon bolo punch from David Allen.
I have a strong feeling that Dubiois will be joining this bunch soon enough. Might not be Johnson who does it, but it will happen sooner rather than later.
Oooh I feel nostalgic, Zakman making a glass jaw thread, it's a oldie but a classic lol. Not sure I'd put Takam on the list he's always shown a good chin in the past, his chin is less natural glass and more just old and a bit worn out, he is 37 and been in quite a few tough fights. Plus the shot he walked onto vs Chisora was a bomb.
