Glass Jaws 2016: An Open Symposium

    The topic of frail Chins is a delicate one that risks offending the fanboys of certain glass-jawed boxers, but we here at the ESB Forums have a duty to boxing. We must discuss Chins regardless of the potential consequences.

    The last 12 months have given us a fresh new batch of glass Jaws, as well as confirming a few old ones. I propose the following list of current top Glass-Jawed Frauds in boxing:

    Amir Khan
    Peter Quillin
    Andrey Fonfara
    Charles Martin
    Enzo Maccarinelli
    Edwin Rodriguez
    Saddam Ali
    Gabriel Campillo

    and to round out the top ten, here are a couple of suspect Chins that we all need to keep an eye on, as they may shatter at any moment in 2017:

    Andre Ward
    Deontay Wilder

    I think Wladimir Klitschko's glass might well get shattered if he dares to enter the ring again.
    He's going to be 41 years old in 2017, has been out the ring for a while, and might lack the reflexes to time his jab-grab tactics that have saved him from being KO'd since 2004.

    Anthony Joshua might be packing glass too. He's suspected by many.

    I suppose that makes the proposed Klitschko-Joshua fight interesting.

    How is it fact? He wasn't massively shaken against Kovalev and the only other guy to put him down was Boone, who put Kovalev down and KO'd Stevenson. I don't remember him being hurt against anyone else either

    He was rocked by a jab.. that's glass. His chin is not pure glass like Khan, but he is definitely packing a good amount of fine China in his chin.

    Walters ate Donaire's best punch and didn't go down, some of you are morons. Kovalev is a known power puncher, Ward going down and getting back up to win the fight actually sgows he's got a solid beard.
