I could knock out Vladimir Klitschko, Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin on the same night. The only reason I choose not to do so is that I don't want to hurt them and cause pain to their families. You should thank me for not obliterating your favorite fighters.

And yes, I can take a flush power-punch to the chin from any A-level fighter, because I have an iron chin - unlike you.

If anyone doubts me, I invite them to come to my house and punch me straight on the jaw. I'll eat your punches as if they were candy, you stupid bums!

So what's your point? That all chins are created equal? Fact is, some fighters have better punch resistance that others, and that is as true at the world class level as it is in your local gym.

And there is NOTHING wrong with fans pointing this out, analyzing it as a central factor in the likely outcome of matchups - because, although you may not like it, chins matter in the outcome of boxing matches

Why? Because there are some guys who take a better shot than others. Surely, for example, you wouldn't argue that Wlad Klitschko takes a better punch than, say, Oliver McCall or George Chuvalo did?

Absolutely. I had a phase early in my boxing that made me question my power. My trainers told me I had pop in my punches but everytime me and my sparring partner had intense sparring, Id hit him hard only cos he was throwing full power and he'd just shake it off. It wasnt till I got my first knockout victory that I realised my sparring partner had an iron jaw, hes never been dropped but hes not that good a boxer. Hes wobbled me though, numerous times so I think I have a glass jaw, particularly on my right jaw.
